Stories of Ordinary Filipinos, Voices that are Never Heard

Ang pagkapukaw ng mamamayang limot

Let me share with you the stories of ordinary Filipinos, street vendors, an old woman, a lady church goer and a young teenager, most of whom would remain nameless but whose encounters with me would give me the determination to keep on fighting on for what we believe is right. They are voices of the common people that most of us may never have heard, in our busy life, in our self centeredness, in our self righteousness and in the lies that Nation is being subjected to by those who profit from it.

So let me start off by sharing with you these stories beginning with the five young children who were selling Ylang-ylang and Sampaguita at the Luisita complex in Tarlac City. We were on the way back to Manila from Dagupan City when we decided to have our supper at the Max’s Restaurant at the Luisita Complex. I did not notice the children at the parking lot as I walked into the restaurant, it was one of the security people assigned to me by the Senate who noticed the children following me with their gaze and it was him whom the children asked if it was Jun Lozada who just walked in. And as we were eating, some of the security personnel who were already done with their food went out to replace those who were still in security detail outside, the newcomers to the dining area were bringing with them a garland of exactly five strings Ylang-ylang and Sampaguita flowers, which they gave to the Sisters. I did not pay much attention to it as it was customary for the security people to buy some things as errand for the Sisters until I was done with my supper and the Sisters telling me that the flowers were actually sent by five young children to be given to me, it was also one of the Sisters who told me to carry the flowers myself to show my appreciation to those kids.

As I was stepping out of the restaurant I saw the children out in the parking area still selling their flowers to the patrons of the restaurants, as they saw me coming out they came over to approach me and it was clear that they wanted to tell me something as they were nudging one of them forward, I took the initiative in establishing a conversation by thanking them for what I believe is a very noble gesture by young children such as them. What they answered me was what really touched me to the core of my being, “Sir Jun, kami nga po ang magpapasalamat sayo dahil sa pakikipaglaban niyo para sa amin, huwag po sana kayong manghina marami kaming umaasa sa inyo”.

I was lost for words for a moment and I motioned them to come closer and gave each one a rub on their head and hug them close together, as I recovered my wits I asked one of the Sisters to take a picture of me together with the children, and I promised the children that should I come out of this personal crisis in one piece I will surely come back to Luisita and treat them for a nice supper in Max’s restaurant.

These children in my story is one of the reasons that I will continue on calling the people to seek the Truth about how the people in government particularly those from the top are stealing the people’s money to fatten their own greedy pockets, how these people on top of the government are stealing money from these poor children, depriving them of good public education and denying them health care when they become sick.

It is for these children and our children and our children’s children that we should all stand up once again to fight for what is truly our right .Our right to serve and protect the needs of our people and not the insatiable greed of our so called leaders.

How many more millions of Filipino children have to be deprived of their rights to proper education, nutrition and the care of their parents before we will come out of our dwindling comforts to confront those are trampling on the future of the next generations of Filipinos?

Conducting noise barrage and walk outs are by no means new ways of attracting attention to certain relevant issues. These kind of communal actions are effective but should be sustained for a period of time.
Noise barrage should last a minimum of one minute and a maximum of five minutes. Anything more than that is going to be hard to sustain.
As far as walk outs from schools (Colleges) and workplaces, I do not think this will produce a positive result. This will just introduce more chaos and confusion into a situation that is already chaotic right now.
One concrete suggestion I have is for everyone of voting age send a message to Malacanang by mail or through email expressing their disgust in the way the present administration is running the country right now. Each sender should send his true name, age and place where he votes. This is a strong way of telling the President that the more messages she gets, the more votes her administration will lose come November of 2010.

  3. ABS of LA — June 12, 2008 #

P.S. MESSAGES CAN BE SENT BY INDIVIDUALS OR IN GROUPS. A SAMPLE MESSAGE CAN GO THIS WAY:
    DEAR MADAM PRESIDENT,
WE THE UNDERSIGNED WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUT DISATISFACTION AND DISGUST ON HOW YOU ARE RUNNING THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW. PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT IF NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL IS DONE TO YOUR WAY OF LEADING OUR COUNTRY, WE WILL EXPRESS THIS FRUSTRATION COME NOVEMBER 2010.

If the story about the children is true, this should scare the Administration and all other corrupt public officials that the nation is on to them. Jun has raised the level of social consciousness to new heights if the common poor understand what’s at stake here and what he’s doing about it.

    More power to you dude!

Issa : Thanks for dropping by and sharing your witty posts. However, I’d have to agree with ABS, you were duping your employer of the manhours required from you. Not only that, you were selfish but unfair to your colleagues most of all. Please make sure that it will be on your own time, should you decide to return. Yes, still as ISSA and not any other name as Bernadette has so eloquently remarked.

Apathy amongst us is what is dragging us down. We seem NOT to mind, so long as we live in status quo, NOT realizing that we deserve far more than what we are getting from our politicos.

Noise Barrage is a start, we could expand or better this as we go along. Noise barrage along the major thoroughfares would create awareness to a lot of people, since they would be curious enough on what is going on, and why it is being done. remember, Major Traffic Routes are perenially at snails pace. Perhaps, some of the apathetic citizen would be awaken by this Noise Barrage. It is also correct, that this from action is hard to sustain. To ensure it’s success, one has to look back abit over 2 decades ago, when Ninoy called for such action, with Eva Estrada Kalaw, Charito Planas, Jose Diokno among others. People really out into the streets at 8pm and started banging anything they could get their hands on. Including the Meralco Steel post, which genrates an ECHO Chamber type of noise. This is what rattled the tennants of Malacanang during those times. Hopefully we could at least muster even 3/4 of that call. If we could be at par or even surpass it, that would even be better!

Taxes : Non payment would be illegal. We could eprhaps donate our taxable income to BIR / SEC ACCREDITTED Charitable Organizations, since this could be tax deductible (Please do consult your Tax Lawyer if this is the case though.) Do not donate to PCSO and Red Cross for monetary donations, as this could be siphoned off by the government and reallocated to unscrupulous projects.

If possible, we could also allot 15-20 minutes of every 3rd hour at work or school as WORK SLOW or Walk Out from whatever we are doing. This would be especially effective if major government offices would be enticed to join, like what the NHA guys did, kudos to you by the way.

GREEN - Green Ribbons or Pennants could be displayed in our homes, cars and ribbons on our shirts to show our solidarity as citizens who has had enough.

    Please input your ideas.
    Thanks.

Sir, repeating the statements above - walking out at 5 pm is pretty normal that I assume everybody would be doing it - even without knowledge that what they are doing is already civil disobedience or a form of protest - most likely they’re just going to walk out to show that they want to go home :)

Good luck, Jun.

This bolg speaks only of your pathetic call for public support. JUN LOZADA is insulting the intellect of the Filipino people who knows the difference between fabricated stories and authentic ones. You claim that young children selling Ilang-ilang recognized you and consider you as the nation’s savior? What do these kids know about the nation’s problem that you are a part of? Who in the world would believe that kids will tell you upfront “Sir Jun, kami nga po ang magpapasalamat sayo dahil sa pakikipaglaban niyo para sa amin, huwag po sana kayong manghina marami kaming umaasa sa inyo”? Perhaps a better script should have been chosen for that! In your tell-tales, the only realistic part that for us to believe is about your security escorts who accompany you wherever you go. Security escorts and field trips in your favor that drain government funds that should better be used for worthy cause. Talk about the P2M tax money that was spent for your wretched cause! What you are spending is government money that should better be spend for other necessities such as books and school supplies for public elementary schools in poor communities. Now, you are telling us that children are being deprived of education and nutrition. Then, why did you not started off with those children in simple ways? You have also insulted millions of Filipino parents by stating that children are being deprived of care by their parents. You should watch your words since most of the net readers that came across your blog responsible parents. And now for the most pitiable call for a protest action: “Magmula sa Hunyo 13, Biyernes alas 5 ng hapon hanggang alas 6 ng gabi at bawat biyernes parehong oras na mga susunod pa, tayo ay makiisa o magsimula ng walkout sa ating mga eskwelahan o mga opisina o mga negosyo upang makiisa sa mga taong kumikilos…” A piece of advice for you Jun Lozada, Nobody from hell would join you in this kind of crusade when every Filipino has some more important and productive thing to do. Your call is irrelevant and nobody will waste their time joining your cause. Perhaps it will be more realistic if you will advertise that you are in need of rally-for-hire mob. As such, you may attain temporary supporters…

The point at issue I think is the credibility of JLO. We cannot but suspect that he might not be telling the whole truth. Most of what he is saying might be true but to say that he is telling the truth a hundred per cent will be to presumptous. That I think is the main source why some of us find it difficult to agree with everything JLO have said so far.
I just want to specify some basic FACTS ABOUT THE ZTE-BROADBAND SCENARIO.
    1. It is a fact that nobody denies that there was indeed such a deal between the repre-
sentatives of the government and ZTE.
    2. There was the event of the signing of the agreement in Chinas witnessed by no less
    than the President GMA.
    3. Right after the signing, the contract allegedly disappeared, or was stolen.
    4. At the height of the Senate Investigations Ben Abalos, the current chairman of the
Comelec then abruptly RESIGNED FROM HIS POST.
    5. GMA thereafter having notice some that the agreement was “flawed” subsequently
    cancelled the contract.
ALL OF THE ABOVE INCIDENTS THAT I THINK NOBODY DENIES TO HAVE EVER HAPPENED ARE THE BASES WHY JLO SHOULD BE GIVEN THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. THESE EVENTS MAKE JLO MORE CREDIBLE IN PRESENTING HIS CASE ABOUT THE ANOMALIES INVOLVED IN THE ZTE-BROADBAND DEAL.

To all those who don’t believe the story here. I attest that this indeed is factual. This is but one of the stories. I am one of those privileged to have time with Jun Lozada and the nuns. We have been to Payatas and other depressed areas and the stories are too many to write them all here. If only you would join us in visiting these places you will know that indeed such hapless situation exists in some areas in our country. And this situation cannot be resolved through doleouts or gas coupons. We need to stop corruption on its tracks.

Everytime Jun Lozada and his group passes by the max restarurant mentioned here, they look for those children at least to say hello. If you still don’t believe, why don’t you go there personally and ask the children.

  41. bodhi siddhartha — June 17, 2008 #

I will let Jun Lozada tell the story himself.

Suffice to say that when we were at PGH, macho security men were reduced to tears.

To those who will again say that we are making-up stories, then go to the PGH yourself and see why!

    (quoted from JUN)

Do you really think Lozada “looks good” in talking with those kids? I don’t. You want him to bring his accusation to the proper forum? Why hurry? We can talk about it in the meantime. We can examine if there is some sense to it. Why, can’t you do that? Why worry about bringing it to court when the people whom Lozada accused of corruption will surely file a case against him? There is no sense in saying “bring it to proper forum” when what is required is to examine Lozada’s statement and test its veracity and reliability.

Hangat may Masa na nauuto si Jlo…marami bibisita sa blog na to at mag kukumento lalo na yung mga kumikilala kay Jlo as Bayani. Uto-uto ang masa natin. And as usual they have a reason for it… poverty. The anti-administration forces capitalized on this issue and then influence the masa to vote or protest against the government. Give them money, whatever amount, they’ll accept it. Have a small talk with them, propaganda style, for sure they’ll buy it. Aside from being uto-uto, they are also ignorant of the process, procedures and technicalities of the government. We cannot blame them alone. This mentality of the masa was intensified during Erap’s time.

We need not go far to see for oursleves the pathetic condition our country is facing. You can see this almost everywhere (except the Malacanang Palace_where crocs and gators thrive). I drive and at the traffic light, chidren come up to your window and aks for alms. You see children, xome high on drugs, others, looking real sick. Yes, there are adults too.
Driving across the road or highway, and passing through uncollected rubbish, you see kids, scavenging through them. Having snacks at fastfood chain, you see kids outside, asking for something to eat. Has their parents been properly employed, they would never have gone to such despicable situation.
The Sampaguita sellers are better off than other kids. And yes, the kids rushing for alms could have done better as well by selling flowers. Yes it could have been, almost always, IT COULD HAVE BEEN. We must accept that our country in such a pitiful state that WE COULD ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING about this problem. We should make our leaders WORK FOR EVERY CENT THAT WE PAY THEM! Unfortunately, nowadays, our leaders tend to enrich themselves while in office, leaving us the supposed recipients of their work in the quagmaire of DESPAIR AND PATHETIC LIFE. Don’t get me wrong, I live okay, but my concern is for the many others who may not be as fortunate to have weathered or still weathering the STORM that our leaders are creating! Cyclone Gloria especially, as some of the bloggers have described mrs. arroyo. She doesn’t seem to care at all about the welfare of the people.
Where am I going with this comments, some may ask…. Well, I would urge the Filipinos to band together and do something about the problem. We could start by forcing our leaders to become good providers for the people NOT MERELY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FRIENDS, but the whole lot! The Whole Caboodle, The Whole Encilada! Presently, the people are heavily burdened with Soaring Gas Prices, Food Insecurity, High Electricity Rates, Undeterred Criminal Activities, Rampant Corruption, and Crimes Perpetrated By Government Personnel are rising with IMPUNITY! LAW & ORDER is Gone! Our Justice System is NOT JUST at all! Our Justice Secretary is NOT OURS, he is part of the PROBLEM! The Director Of Police is A PROBLEM! The whole shebang is the PROBLEM! And yet, some callous people would give us lame excuse for such! C’mon! We should be better than this!Alot BETTER if truth be told! WE DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER! Let us get our acts together and do what is right!

Lozada just does not know when to stop
    By Frank Malilong
    The Other Side

THE next time he is invited to Cebu, Rodolfo Lozada Jr. should insist that he be scheduled to speak during the halftime of an intramural basketball game. That would assure him of at a least a bigger, although not necessarily attentive, crowd.

Lozada was obviously miffed by the lukewarm reception he got from the Cebuanos. He probably thought that because he was mobbed like a movie star in Manila, we would all be similarly worshipping him at his feet. Alas, the ones who showed up couldn’t even fill the lower section of the University of San Carlos gymnasium and some of them even turned out to be not his fans.

So he called Cebu the Archdiocese of Malacañang.

How pathetic. Only a megalomaniac would react to a snub by slandering an entire people.

Lozada should be told that Cebuanos were already at the forefront of the struggle against tyranny even during the time when it was not fashionable to do so. The conditions were worse then because Ferdinand Marcos had complete rule over the police and the military but that did not deter the Cebuanos. And none of them went crying that his life was in danger because of his advocacy.

Who is Lozada to teach us heroism Isn’t he the same man who confessed to having connived with other crooks while in government? Didn’t he surface only when the National Broadband Network scandal blew wide open and it became a matter of time that his participation would be exposed?

The tragedy is that we did and, up to a certain point, still believe in him. We found him credible despite his storied past, which we were willing to ignore, and watched in shock and disgust as details of the grand corruption in government were recounted by him in the Senate.

The problem was that Lozada did not know when to stop. Evidently, he still doesn’t. He was not contented with being just a star witness; he wanted to be, and acted like, the star, complete with solicitous and uniformed alalays (maids in habits?).

If nobody came to listen to Lozada in Cebu, it was because we already know his story. What more could he tell us that we have not already heard or read about? Why do he and his handlers want people to gather and listen to him tell his story for the nth time? To feed his monumental ego and keep him happy or to agitate us into mounting a peoples revolt.

I think the student was asking what Lozada intended to accomplish by making all these accusations without proof and why he wasn’t directing his efforts through the proper channels. Lozada got angry and the student was physically removed from the assembly. It seems they also cut off similar questions asked by other Cebuanos.

And these are the people who claim to be advocates for truth!

It shows how he thought he can control the situation and he had the power to make things happen for other people involved. It is ok for me for the Philippine Government to make profits but put that in the pocket of the country not their own pockets.

That is the truth that he needs to preach in the colleges and universities, on how not to FOIL a good plan by wanting more.

To all the youth reading this Jun Lozada’s blog, waste not the efforts of your parents in molding you into responsible persons. Be grateful that your parents are able to send you to school. Take this opportunity to show the talent, skill and intelligence of a Filipino youth. Focus your mind on your studies because knowledge is your sword for whatever trials that may come your way. You are very lucky, for today you are leading the way for the sure success in your future. Treasure the bits and pieces of what you discover for this is just the beginning of what you call life. In your Education lies what will you become in the future. Never frustrate your Parents because if you do, you are more at the losing side. They are doing the best they can solely for you. Study Harder and please stay away from the bad elements of the society, they will put you down.

In this hard times, and severe economic and political crisis don’t waste your time on Campus tours and Fabricated stories of Pathetic and Corrupt Cry Baby claiming to be our Nation’s savior. It won’t do good on your part and the only thing that will benefit is no other than the grandstanding-cry-baby. Don’t let yourself be used for his political mileage.

Instead, Focus on your studies, be a well rounded student. Its not enough to excel in academics, extracurricular activities are just as important. Aim to be a good student and don’t slack off.

  102. jonas — July 14, 2008 #

Student can focus on their studies and at the same time be conscious of social and political developments in the country. They don’t have to close their eyes to realities in order to study. That’s baloney. You want future leaders that is not like the ones we have today? Then allow and let the students to participate in the social, political and economic activity of the country. Let them be conscious of what is going on around them. Let them see what is wrong and right in their gov’t. Let them have their voices be heard because they are talso a stakeholders of this country. If we really want a knowledgeable, learned, conscious, aware and bright students we should not dissuade and blindfold their eyes to the realities around us. The future belongs to them, don’t be an idiot in trying to shield them away and fool them just so they will no see the frailties and faults around them created by corrupt people. Don’t be a moron to blind the students about the people who are corrupting their future. Bottom line: if you don’t have a sense of what is right and wrong, don’t make the students be like you.

  103. ken kashi — July 14, 2008 #

Students must be aware of what is going on in the country. Surely, the students are smart enopugh to know if the Campus Tours of any person is worth listening to.
They must be conscious of the hardships that their nation is facing. Why confine them in the classrooms and take away the information that could help them broaden their minds of the reality that they face and would be facing.
For the Nth time, I want the public to know that JUN LOZADA, the witness in the NBN-ZTE Senate Inquiry, is NOT runninmg for any Public Office, hence, no media mileage neccesitates his continued professing of the realities and behind the scene transactions of our present government.
So the Public may know : JUN LOZADA does not and have never considered hinself savior of the country. Dennis and a whole lot of bunch of Filipinos has branded him to be such. Have you ever heard him claim being a savior? He just chose the Light and once the pathway have been illuminated, people saw for themselves the CREEPY CRWLIES oft he government. The Filipino people have been given enlightenment, and the Dark Side has been Illuminated. Obviously, people would more likely follow the illuminated pathway, than stay in the DARK. JUN LOZADA, choosing to be the Light is now the subject of tirades from the people who would rather have the PEOPLE SITTING IN THE DARK, unaware of what is going on in their midst.
I say to the students. You are intelligent enough and mature enough to make your own choice. It is up to you, the youth to make the difference.
Would you rather stay in the Dark or Would you rather be enlightened? The choice is yours.

To all The parents Reading this Blog, let me share some facts I gathered.

Let me inform you that all the legal fronts of the CPP-NPA-NDF have utilized the “young people” to do mass action and mass information campaigns against the “corruption in the government, not only in the NCR but in all major cities of the country.

Majority of the students in NCR have been mobilized by Rodolfo “Jun’ Lozada as he did campus tours all over the universities and colleges in the NCR and in other parts of the country.

Jun Lozada, together with the association of Major Religious Superior and Major Religious Orders and the private schools, colleges and universities which they control, the “Moderate Left” Yellow Group of Cory Aquino with the elites and Makati Business Club under Ramon Del Rosario, the Black and White Movement, and the FSGO (Former Senior Government Officials of the Government).

The left has therefore, used the “Lozada” campaign in order to do massive recruitment for the students to join youth organizations which are controlled by the Left, such as Anakbayan, Kabataan Party, the league of the Filipino Students (LFS), the Youth Party, the College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP), the SAMASA, the SANLAKAS Youth, the GABRIELA Youth, the Students Christian Movement (SCM) , the Aglipayan Youth, the Kristianong Kabataan, the Anakpawis Youth, the National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP), the Kilos Bayan Youth (Sen Jovito Salonga – UCCP), the PETA youthand the KME Interfaith youth.

The Center of the CPP-NPA-NDF Youth is the Philippine Christian University (PCU) with Aglipayan Youth at the PCU-Taft and PCU-Union Theological Seminary- Dasmariñas, Cavite, and the De LA Salle University-Taft as “lead center for the catholic youth”.

Most Pro-Lozada here don’t know this, kasi nabubulagan na sila ng kanilang idolo.

  107. ken kashi — July 14, 2008 #

Let me share with you what I know about Jun Lozada, the Senate Witness, in the NBN-ZTE SCANDAL inquiry.

Jun Lozada is a friend of Romulo Neri. Neri requested Jun’s assistance in reconciling the proponents of the NBN Program of the government. Notable personalities involved in this Project :
Joey de Venicia III and AHI Holdings, the other being then COMELEC Chairman Benjamin ABALOS and his group, which include Leo San Miguel, Ruben Reyes, Torch Du La Torre (i am not sure, correct me if wrong), and also The First Gentleman MIKE ARROYO.

From BOT based project with Joey, it suddenly changed to Loan Based, provided by Chinese EXIMBANK. This after the INFAMOUS GOLF GAME in Shenzen by no less than Gloria and Mike Arroyo, together with the ZTE Official Hierarchy.

To cut the story short, as perhaps we should be aware of what transpired in between.
Jun was called by senate to shed light, and in his capacity as president of Philippine Forest Corporation under the Department iof Natural Resources, he apprised Sec. Atienza of his personal knowledge of the project. Jun later testified that Atienza mentioned,: “Should you tell the public what you have just told me, The People Would Get Angry. You would be handing this government to the Opposition.” Is Sec. Atienza aware that in case the president steps down, the Vice President would assume the Presidency. The line of succession? The Speaker of the House if VP is not possible. Then holding of elections within 60Days? Anyways to continue :
Jun was adviced to leave the country until the issue mellows down. But, he returned on February 05, only to be kidnapped by elements of the State, the greeting party was led by no less than the Airport Chief of Security, Angel Atutubo. Atutubo, if you would recall is the person who made the SLASHING of the THROAT gesture when he fronted the CCTV Camera at the corridor of the departure hall leading to the Diplomatic Lounge. A Lounge where Jun was taken, and brought down from there to the Tarmac. Note : The DIPLOMATIC LOUNGE is reserved for DIPLOMATS, as the name implies. Jun is NO DIPLOMAT, definitely.
At the Senate, Jun was roasted and grilled by Senators from both Pro Gloria and Opposition, also the Independent minded if there is any.
In the course of the inquiry, Jun was asked about his dealings at PhilForest. Goat, Cars, Idle Lands to Siblings. NOT CLEARED by Sen. Santiago, the Idle Lands were neither given nor bought by the siblings. These lands were merely LEASED by the siblings with proviso that they plant Jathopra and other trees that could make these otherwise idle lands
productive. Sen. Santiago, FAILED TO MENTION the other government officials who BOUGHT (NOT LEASED) the Idle Lands for their own use. Under pressure perhaps from the Powers That Be who possibly are heavily indebted to these officials, they BOUGHT this lands. Check the Registry of Deeds and Bureau of Lands, also PhilForest Docs. Why were these government officials ommited by Santiago, is a mystery to me. If we are after the truth and transparency, as Geriatric Senator Enrile said:”Matamis Man o Maanghang, Mabango man o Mabaho ay dapat ilabas mo Jun.”

JUN simply decided to keep what is little left of his dignity, as he claims, and decided to tell the TRUTH about the under the table deals that gloria and her minions are doing.

He never claimed to be clean. Who is clean amongst us anyways? I would assume that all of us has been besmirched one way or the other!
He chose to be the LIGHT, and the People saw this as a guiding light to hopefully redeem the country from the atrocities that the government continues to do, with IMPUNITY if I may add.

Continue with investigation, punish the guilty party. Also, level the playing field.
STOP THE HARASSMENT AND PERSECUTION OF WITNESSES AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT!

No, let’s argue about it.

Jun, I know you are concerned for your safety and that of your loved ones, after exposing the alleged “corruption” in the NBN-ZTE deal. Many criminal elements are out to get you. But you have nothing to fear from the powers of the evil one if you turn to our Dearest Jesus, our loving God. Receive our Dearest Jesus, the Almighty God, our Savior, and believe in the power of His gospel, that is preached in the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry, and you will have the power to overcome the works of the devil. (Luke 10:19) The true gospel is preached in the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry! This message is not only for you, but also for the entire world as well! If you all want a better life, seek the truth. God is the answer to all our problems, be it from typhoons, earthquakes, money problems, incurable diseases, injuries, pornography, drug lords, murderers and all other works of the evil one.

Believe in our Dearest Jesus, listen to the gospel being preached in the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry, keep our Lord’s commandments, and you will have nothing to fear. “…If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31) Alleluia!! Praise the Lord!!

Let us just say that JLO has lighted a candle whose light many of his detractors are trying to blow out. That light is still burning and is giving more lights to other candles that otherwise would still be in darkness. The same lighted candle has been ignited during the Philippine Revolution by our national heroes like Jose Rizal, Ninoy et al. exposing the abuses of the Spanish Conquistadores and the Marcos dictatorship against the Filipino people.

Jose Rizal is gone, Ninoy is gone and JLO might be gone one day but the light will still be burning as long as there are people who are willing to take the risk of exposing the truth about the abuses and crimes against the country and its people.

Japan and the Philippines had the same beginning as a matter of fact at the end of WWII with the Americans in fact giving both countries their Constitution and basic laws. What differed was the dedication of those in Japan to do as the emperor had told his people to do, which was “to bear the unbearable.” In the Philippines, what emerged was a bunch of crooks handpicked the Americans to continue the tradition of their former slavers, hence the unsurmountable problems of the Philippines made worse by the powergrabbing of a crook so small and yet so evil.

One of the things that the more enlightened and dedicated of Japan did was to make sure that ALL Japanese would be able to get ample education to insure that with their knowledge and skill they would be law-abiding and useful citizens of Japan and even the world. In the Philippines, majority of the Filipinos are poor and they are kept in ignorance by not providing them with enough education.

Education in Japan is compulsory and parents, who do not send their children to school until at least the 9th grade can be fined or imprisoned. This is why you don’t see children in Japan roaming around during school hours. Child labor is also banned.

I’m actually disappointed with Jesli Lapus for not doing anything to make it imperative that ALL kids in the Philippines are sent to school, not to work in the streets, etc. Sayang ang ipinagmamalaki niyang US education niya.

  112. Yuko — July 18, 2008 #

Cheer up, JLo! The way I see it is that majority of the Filipinos now are aware of the evils perpetrated by the powergrabber who is so short of everything. If there is anything the creep excels in, it is lying, stealing, and cheating. Otherwise, nada!

BTW, we have invited the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo together with Japanese and foreign media to our forum on the ZTE/NBN racket that should not be considered moot and academic as long as the Senate have not cleared it and the culprits not duly punished for it. We’ll see what the Chinese will say.

  113. Yuko — July 18, 2008 #

Who says that JLo is telling a lie? It’s simple logic why the creeps are after him, and he needed to seek sanctuary from the La Salle sisters. If he were a liar, he would not have been intimidated, threatened and harrassed the way this blog for instance is barraged with garbage and unfriendly posts by the Internet Brigade of the Pandack Omama. Knowing how honest and true JLo is, takot silang mabulgar even when the truth is bistado na sila, matagal na!

I just got this from the BnW. Allow me to post this here for the information of all those freedom-loving Filipinos, who should be shouting at the top of their lungs by now this slogan PATALSIKIN NA, NOW NA:

    Sama-Sama Sumigaw sa SSS

This Friday, July 18, we gather at the SSS Head Office at East Avenue,
Quezon City for our Black Friday Protest.

We assemble at the KFC Restaurant along East Avenue (just before the SSS
Building if you’re North-bound) starting at 4:30 PM. At exactly 5:00 PM, we
walk towards the SSS front entrance, where we denounce in the strongest
possible voice the appointment of Romulo Neri as president of SSS.

We invite all SSS members to join us in protecting our contributions and
    funds.

We all saw how Winston Garcia used the GSIS funds in the aborted Meralco
takeover bid. Let’s not allow the same thing to happen to our SSS funds.

    Plan of action:

    1) Wear BLACK, preferably the “Patalsikin Na! NOW NA!” T-shirts. You can
also design your own shirts with your own slogans.

    2) Assemble at the KFC restaurant along East Avenue starting at 4:30 PM.

    3) At exactly 5 PM, walk towards the SSS front entrance.

    4) On cue, everybody should pose and do the “Patalsikin” sign. Take plenty
of pictures we can disseminate to media.

    6) On cue, disperse quietly.

    Important reminders:

    1) This is a SILENT PROTEST, not a rally. Please do not shout, sing, pass
leaflets, or do anything to disturb the regular customers of KFC or
employees and people transacting business with the SSS.

    2) Bring your cameras. The highlight of the protest action is the
picture-taking of us doing the “patalsikin” pose

Forward this message to as many friends, relatives, colleagues, and egroups.
I’ve also included below a brief description of the Black Friday Protest
Movement, so those receiving your forwarded mail and hearing this for the
first time will understand what we’re trying to accomplish.

    God bless,

    enteng

Truth is I used to work full time as special correspondent for a Philippine news agency. Now, I am still doing media work albeit as interpreter/translator for some TV networks in Tokyo that is why I get to see a lot of video clips of happenings in the Philippines that a lot many people do not actually get to see. And not being really directly affected by the happenings there although I cannot help getting emotional when I see those deprived Filipinos still, I can still somehow detach myself and try to see things without bias and prejudice so that I can fairly assess the situation there.

That is why the first time I read contributions to this blog by Ken Kashi, I knew he was doing his homework and knew a lot about things that ordinary people need to know but are deliberately deprived of knowing.

Thanks, Ken. You actually are just confirming what I, in fact, already know. Recently, in fact, I have volunteered to help a leader of a political party in Japan to have more clout and leverage for the many issues that my group and I want the government here to address more effectively.

As the BnW encourages everyone concerned about effecting change in that seemingly forsaken land of our birth, Sama-Samang Sumigaw: Patalsikin Na, Now Na!

So, who says that what Jun is doing, talking to the youth and students, is useless??It is not. The growing number and sporadic student advocacies and movements presently are indeed proof enough that “all swell that ends well. ” Jun’s is definitely not going to waste. Laglag na ang rating ni Pandack e. Hindi lang zero, minus
38% pa. Makapal lang talaga ang mukha ng bruha!

Mabuhay ka Mr. Lozada! God bless you for all your sacrifices for truth, righteousness, the Philippines and the Filipinos!

But then, of course, she will cling on to her present position especially with her appointees in the Supreme Court, AFP, PNP, even in the Philippine Congress and Senate, et al equally fearful of losing their present jobs and whatever vested interests they may have, ever willing to protect her, and the positions they now enjoy, to wish for this creep to voluntarily step down is no doubt impossible, especially with the numerous lawsuits against her, and possible arrests in the future with warrants not just for her but also for her husband, children, brother-in-law and other relatives.

I hate violence, but I’m beginning to think that Joma Sison is right to say that the only way the Philippines can change is by armed struggle that is not limited to a disgruntled few although that, too, is unlikely to happen judging from historical facts of Filipinos not being easy to unite without a binding dogma or some symbol of unity like something or someone like our emperor for instance whom the Americans and some Christian Japanese for instance have not succeeded in brainwashing Japanese not to revere even as someone who has descended from the gods.

Funny but the bruha, judging from her own words and actuations, has the illusion that she, too, has the same regal ancestry even when everyone knows she was descended from someone who has made the people of Pampanga to be ashamed of being called “dugong aso”!

Namimingwit pa ng ninuno ang ungas. Nuno daw niya si Lakan Dula, whose descendants must include human rights lawyer, Romy Capulong, the former ICJ judge, but Capulong is Tagalog, not kapampangan!

GOD IS THE ANSWER TO ALL OUR PROBLEMS!! Unless everyone realizes that fact and everyone receives the Spirit of God, none of our problems will be solved!

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:9) KJV

NOW… IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD, WHOSE SPIRIT DO YOU HAVE!? The answer to that is scary, my dearest peoples of the world.

IT’S TIME EVERYONE BELIEVES IN OUR LOVING GOD, NO OTHER THAN OUR DEAREST JESUS, AND BE BAPTIZED IN HIS NAME!!

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
    (Acts 2:38) KJV

    Glory to God!! Alleluia!!
